The Starting Point

Jim Ragsdale, the owner of Hutch Towing and Recovery, is a man who hits his goals. He was consistently reaching his weekly targets, and his Google profile was already generating five-star reviews. But while Jim was busy rescuing drivers on the road, his website was in a ditch.

The previous site was a liability. Every single link was broken, the layout was "jacked up" and unresponsive, and Jim was essentially being ghosted by his previous developer. To make matters worse, the original domain was lost, leaving his digital presence stranded.

Jim came to us with a simple directive: "Whatever it takes to make it pop."

The Decision

We didn't just want to fix the links; we wanted to build a high-performance lead-generation machine that matched Jim’s 24/7 work ethic. We recognized that for a towing company, the website isn't a brochure—it’s an emergency tool.

We moved from a multi-page, broken architecture to a streamlined, "Infinite Scroll" single-page site optimized for high-stress, mobile-first situations.

What We Did

  • Domain Recovery & Pivot: Since the old domain was unreachable, we secured 24-7hutchtowing.com. It’s shorter, more memorable, and hard-codes his most valuable service (24/7 availability) into the URL itself.

  • Emergency UX (User Experience): We designed the site with "The Guy in the Ditch" in mind. We implemented a centered, high-visibility layout and a "9-1-1" themed phone link (620-474-3911) that allows for one-tap dialing on mobile.

  • Tri-County SEO Authority: We engineered the copy to dominate search results across Reno, Sedgwick, Rice, and Lyons Counties. By explicitly targeting highway recovery and local winch-outs, we positioned Jim to capture traffic from the North Wichita corridor all the way to Hutchinson.

  • Visual Proof & Professionalism: We replaced the "blah" static images with a high-action photo carousel of Jim’s truck in the field. We highlighted his Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce membership to bridge the gap between "emergency help" and "trusted local neighbor."

The Result

  • A 100% functional, lightning-fast website that loads in under 1.5 seconds.

  • A clear, conversion-focused pathway for emergency calls and winch-out requests.

  • Dominant local SEO positioning across four key Kansas counties.

  • A digital presence that finally looks as professional as the service Jim provides.

This project was a "Digital Recovery."

It’s a perfect example of why we do what we do at ForWardAI. We took a local business owner who was being held hostage by bad tech and unresponsive service, and we gave him the keys to a high-performance asset.

Seeing a HutchConnect Standard Partner upgrade to a full managed website—and watching that investment turn into a polished, authoritative brand—is what community growth looks like in action.
